For Freedoms
Assistant Producer, FFCon
Evan is the assistant producer for FF Congress. Evan Walsh (b. 1995) is an NYC-based photographer and writer originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Evan's work explores chosen family, trauma, and mythologies of masculinity—both his writing and photography investigate the real, intangible, or imagined landscapes that we use to map ourselves. Evan's photography has been featured in Out, Fotoroom, Lenscratch, Aint-Bad, and Entertainment Weekly, as well as on book covers internationally, and has been exhibited at the Griffin Museum of Photography, the Boston Photo Resource Center, and Kayafas Gallery. In 2018, he was shortlisted for the Lucie Foundation Emerging Artist Grant. After moving to New York, Evan began working as a studio assistant to Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb and as a teaching assistant for Richard Renaldi and the ICP School.
Since 2017, Evan has been a projects and exhibitions manager for For Freedoms, where he produced collaborations with MoMA, The ICP Museum, Guardian US, Planned Parenthood, The Currier Museum of Art, UNTITLED Art Fair, The Betsy Hotel, Photoville, EXPO Chicago, Lightwork / Contact Sheet, Lenscratch, Kickstarter, Mountainfilm, and Penn State’s School of the Arts, and has lectured with NYU, Monument Lab, and Aperture Foundation.
